I HAVE NO MONEY AND I MUST READ

As of today I am EMPLOYED !! Well, not officially, I'm yet to sign anything but I have a job? yay?
I rarely spend my money apart from when I go out with my friends or for the occasional impulse purchase (i.e. PHM popcorn bucket), but yesterday I decided it was finally time for me to take all of my many gift cards and to buy a KOBO. I have an e-reader now !!! Setting it up, I realized that I can only borrow books from one library at a time which... sucks... but oh well! I'm sure I can find a way to download pdfs and send them to the reader anyways.
Speaking of, since I've already been reading more often, I will be adding a book log to my website (and hopefully, eventually, a movie one too). Just a nice place to put all the books I'm planning to read / currently reading / have read !!
As for the job... I'm THRILLED to my own source of income, and this is my first real job so I'm happy to finally have something to put on my CV, but I probably should've spent the two last weeks of real, unemployed summer better! I barely coded or drew. Though, I did go out with my friends a whole bunch and I got to work on a new painting, so I suppose it's not totally wasted. I will be sure to update !

WOOHOOOOOOOO, SUMMERTIME!

I just finished my last final exam for the year, so it's finally time for me to wind down and take some weight off my shoulders. With that being said, here's a list of all the things I need to improve / achieve before my return to school in September!

𖤓 Read SOOOO MANY books. I have too many interesting novels and documentaries laying around. Eventually I'll get around to making a full-fledged list of books i've read and that I will be reading for this site, but the point is that I've got to start filtering through em'!
𖤓 Sharpen up my digital art skills. Hopefully, participating in Artfight will help me improve. I'll be posting all the drawings for that on my Instagram, we'll see if it does me any good!
𖤓 Coding. So much coding. Not only do I want to finish this oh-so beloved blog, but I also have MUCH more to work on. I've got this microcontroller set that dates back like 8 years that I must've got as a kid before I knew I liked to code (it was quite the find while cleaning my room) and I'm trying to learn C++. Not only that, but I'm really hoping I can participate in the provincial science fair next year and I wanted to talk about code art. But to talk about it, I need to have something to show. And you KNOW whatever I show will be something I've made myself. So. I need to learn JavaScript.
𖤓 ROLLERBLADING!!! I got a set of inline skates recently, and I've been practing pretty frequently... I'm a bit of a coward, so learning this might take a while, but the idea of soaring around on the bike path is really keeping me determined.
𖤓 Still studying! Just now I get to study stuff I actually find interesting! This substitute teacher I became friends with gave me her old Space Academy textbooks, so I'll probably spend my allocated summer study time sifting through those. I can't really afford to let my brains deteriorate for next (I kinda need em') so I'll be taking notes for that so I dont fall out of my groove! Also, I need to study for my driving test, it's coming up pretty soon.
𖤓 Starting back my paintings. I barely have time to paint during the year, much less these last two months. Finally getting to take back out my acrylics is going to feel like a breath of fresh air, I'm sure.

That's about it. The time in between will be spent hanging with my friends, working out or watching movies while crocheting. So happy to unwind.
